Supposed to be studying...dun know why i can't remember the entries....T.T
I still have a bit of time left...it's time to push on...
Added a few more links to my recommendations list...Wanted to d/l a Sammi clip but the webmaster went offline...Rip was kind enough to send it to me thru MSN...but i wonder what went wrong, the file never came thru...We tried for a few times....that attributed it to MSN's fault. =p In the end, Rip uploaded the file for me =) Thank you so much !! I finally d/l-ed it !!
I'll be having a new room mate tmr...wonder how she looks like and whether i'll be able to get along well with her... Feel so sad that i've lost the privacy of having a single deluxe room. But i should be thankful that i've enjoyed it for the past 6-7 weeks. Anyway, as how i've been comforting myself...it's only 6 weeks more and i'll be home studying again...
The break is over...have to go back to hall and work again... I wanna stay at home !!!!

CNY dinner with everyone...the unfogettable time where there was a huge mis-communication and we walked miles before we finally met everyone for dinner.

The Huge HUGE HUGE 鱼生 which was prepared so unhygienically. Those guys were stepping on the plate with their smelly socks on. Those who didn't see the preparation were happily taking from the plate and eating it !!!! *yuck*

Financial Planner = Insurance Agent ???

Just now went to Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel ballroom for the AIA recruitment seminar. It was a rather last minute decision for me. Thought had project discussion...but in the end dun have. Anyway, Lois called me yesterday afternoon to confirm. All along i don't have an interest in financial stuff...wad more financial planning for others?? I didn't want to be the so-called "desperate insurance agents". And plus after telling dad about this seminar, the more i had to go. He kept bugging me to go. So in the end i was there lor.
Very big scale seminar held at ballroom. All hte agents very well-dressed. At hte reception, they asked me who invited me...and i kinda forgot the agent's name...only remember it was something like Henry. HAHAHA...anyway, i was rite...he was called Henry. Lois who called me was his wife and also the one sharing her testimony. Her testimony was quite touching. Listening to how she experienced her childhood made me feel i am damn lucky. She only entered the industry a yr ago and she's quite a top seller.....her income tripled compared to the salary she got as a nurse. The money sounds really good.
The other speaker was Robert Young. Very good and persuasive and entertaining speaker. Enjoyed it very much. He made the industry sound sooo lucrative. No ceiling income, flexible, team work, no worries of retrenchment and retirement etc... His jokes were really good la. Share something here...he said 1 thing u can gain is fame. Why ?? If u're the top agent, u get to appear on newspaper with ur photo flashed at least once or twice a yr. If u're juz a normal person...u only appear on the papers once in ur lifetime...Anyone knows the answer ?? HAHA....leave it in the comments =p
Upon hearing his testimony and speach, i was kinda tempted to join hte industry. But back to reality. It's all hard work. And the title sounds so good...financial planner...but in fact u're juz a agent selling insurance. Doesn't sound like the right job for me. Have to consider....hope Maersk takes me in *prays*
But i muz say that tonight is not a wasted night. =)

The World is sooo small

This week is actually a break. But i don't foresee much free time. Monday already went to skool for FYP. Then went for P&G talk. Interesting company lor. But confirm wun take in ppl like me. so many smart ppl out there...i shall just wait patiently to see if Maersk accepts me. Oh well...
Actually it has been a very bz weekend also. We have been going to Waterina for almost everyday since the keys were taken. Then monday night, Auntie Lilian, See Ngee and gf and Chiou Yan wanted to go see. So we were there again. Dad picked me up from skool after the talk and we went there. And i finally got to eat Nasi Lemak !!! HAHAAHAA....
Oh....and why i say the world is sooooooooooo small....I have only heard mum saying about See Ngee's gf is also from DOS and a bit too tall la. Then her name is Lena. But no idea which Lena coz apparently she came after i left the part-time job there. So all listen and no see. Finally on monday night.....LENA....is my SENIOR in KC !!!! she was my pretty good friend. We used to do lotsa letter exchanging and played netball together etc... Never expected the tall Lena to be her....Interesting....

Long time no updatez...

Yesh i know....long time no updates from me eversince Chinese New Year Eve. Ming and bin have been complaining that my blog has been left in the same state for hmmz...many many weeks.
Not that nothing has happened. In fact a lot has happened. haha....CNY was a very busy time. Lots of visiting and entertaining of guests. Never had a proper chance to sit and do stuff. Still kinda remembered wad happened...I went for hte ultra super boring lunch. Stared into space and didn't really eat a lot. Waste money for the buffet. Remaining days were visiting and entertaining. Interesting conversations held...Uncle Yee Kong as usual was my career consultant. Told me a lot of things which i ought to slowly think thru.
Uncle Tiow Lin came this yr instead of us visiting them. Meiqi came back from Sydney...looking very pretty now. Weiming finishing his NS soon...and Zhiming is sooooo cute (although getting a bit too chubby) !! Uncle TL thinks i should go further my studies and not work straight away. Hmmmz....
On the 7th day of CNY, we got the keys to our unit at Waterina. The rooms veli veli small lor. I dun like !!! Only the bathroom looks good actually. Everything else SMALL !! The downstairs looks nice also. Very pretty...nice gym and exercise corner. Everywhere surrounded with water. Mum loves the sound of the water at night. Wonder when will we have our 1st BBQ there. Already saw ppl BBQ-ing there over the weekend.
Hmm....wad else...went to Buona Vista for dinner and 捞鱼生 on 8th day with Alvin, YY, CX, WJ, YW, Ade and Nicky. Got huge mis-communication. We walked like dun know how many miles and kilometres before i finally saw FOOD and DRINKS !!!! But good dinner...nice food....
I guess kinda of very simplified summary of the CNY week.
Most happy thing is to go and collect ang pow !!!! HAHAHAHA

Had great reunion dinner just now....STEAMBOAT with table BBQ!! my favourite !!! YUMMY !!! Tastes so much better than having some steamboat outside. Grandma's food is the best !!!! All high quality one !!! HAHAHAHA....got abalone somemore....*drool*
But i was soooo hungry and started eating that i actually forgot to take a pic of all the sumptous food !!!! =p
Tmr 财源滚滚来 starts.....HAHAAHAHAHA...wonder how much $$$$ i will get this year =p
go more places and get more ??? hmmmz...anyway, tmr kicks off with church service at 9am. then off to some lunch which i so reluctantly have to go. Have to go "socialise" but in the end i'll juz sit in some corner and eat and talk to myself...or perhaps play with Kate and Chloe. But i think someone else will kinda like have them to herself. Oh well....the thought of going makes me sick.
Anyway, something to look forward after that ....going grandma's house. hehe...got nice food again....hahaha...den i think off to grand-auntie's house which can be a bit boring unless there are other people there. Then....if history repeats...it will be off for a CNY movie !!! LoL

Day filled with activities

This morning woke up quite early. Had to do some stuff at home before meeting mum during her lunch time. Had to rush down to city hall. Had to buy some stuff together.
Walked a while, got the stuff then mum went back to office with my laptop.
All by myself, i walked around Raffles City. Spotted this Nike top. All black with a little tick in front. Quite liked it ...but $50 !!! Anyway, juz wanted the opinion of mum. Upon hearing that it was all black, her tone changed...so haha...meant she didn't like the sound of it. Then i went to Funan to get my hair cut. But but ....not enough graduates and i actually went to ermm....EC House. No choice...coz run out of time and that was where mum recommended me to go instead of those expensive salon. Thought need to meet ade at first . But the queue there not so long but wait VERY VERY LONG !!!! Actually i think the cut wasn't that bad. Still acceptable. Not as horrible as some people described. But still, i'd rather go back to Kimage the next time. Then went to mum's office and waited downstairs for her to bring me my laptop.
Called ade...told her can't make it back in time. thanks to the long waiting time. Then decided later tonight then do FYP. So i had time for lunch.
Was thinking about the Nike top all along. Haha....anyway, i went back to buy it =p
Took the train back to Boon Lay. So tiring. The bag so heavy....the stupid BM211 (International Biz....ming, now u know wad BM211 stands for) textbook, SO SO SO HEAVY !!! muz be super gd quality paper. Then muz carry the laptop somemore. HEAVY HEAVY !!!! Felt so thankful suddenly that my parents fetch me to school every week !!!
Went to JP, bought VCD (old one...Sammi's serial) instead of what ming suggested. Coz that one too expensive. $53 !!!! no money la.
Aiyahh...time to go for lecture. So sianz...muz listen to the boring Chen Kang. But ade said for this topic, he's good...i shall go listen....hmmmzz

The "Fours" Reunion

Yesterday, Ming, Hui, Bin and Me...the FOUR of us finally met up again since new year party at my house. This time for Chinese New Year reunion dinner LoL...
Met at Orchard....and forced ming to bring her pineapple tarts for us to try. And she brought this super 老土 paperbag...hahaha...which none of us wanted to cary back afterwards.
We had Sakae sushi for dinner....haha...reason being i got the UOB debit card...so got 10% discount! seems like we always have that but i think we haven't eaten sakae together for a long time !!! We had a hearty time together...talked a lot, crapped loads and laughed as if nobody was around us. Always have fun with them...HMBC rulez !! haha...(not HSBC bank !!! it's our initials...lol...hui, ming, bin and chris)
We walked around Heeren....look around see if anything to buy. Passed by a neoprint shop den realised we haven't taken neoprint together for a long time. But ming and i said go cine and take...coz that machine there was good....can take as long as we like to decorate and the decorative stuff also quite nice. So we went there. Take neoprint also can make a fool of ourselves...lol...we had a candid shot coz we didn't know the pic was taken consecutively. But we didn't print that la...
Then we decided to get our group something similar again. We got our group ring quite many years ago with the HMBC engraved inside. LoL... this time we decided on a bracelet. Earrings not possible coz dear ming ming has no ear hole !! At first thought we will buy something which has that flat piece of metal so can engrave again. But cannot find nice one...either too cheapo or too rugged. So in the end we got this bracelet with a star...

We took this pic at Macs...haha...Dun know what happened to bin's camera...refused to take a shot. Weird cam that takes only ming's face but not our hands. Haha... So in the end only ming and my camera was used.
Oh and on the way home...the train was super super crowded...there was this big lady and son who refused to move backwards...had to hold on the pole for their dear lives. so this lady who juz boarded, saw the space there and wanted to squeeze back. And in the end, she literally stranggled me and stepped on my foot too !!! Then there was this big sized 有色人 boarded the train. Stood right behind bin. And i was giggling non-stop coz he raised his hand right up to support himself...and bin was right under the armpit !!! HAHHAAHAHAHA there was this 2 other girls who witnessed it also...and were giggling. I kinda wanted to warn bin not to turn around. But upon seeing me giggle...she turned around...AHAHHAHAHAAAH and she kinda like nearly fainted seeing what was above her !!!
Had a great day with all of them !! Wonder when we'll see each other again....

No more Maple for me ....SAD SAD SAD

Was still playing happily yesterday morning and maybe early afternoon.
Whnei came back from dinner, wanted to play maple. But, server was undergoing some changes AGAIN. So i waited and waited and waited.
When the patch was finsally ready, i went to d/l. CX could play. Ade could play. BUT I JUZ COULDN'T PLAY !!!! Runtime erro.
Ade said re-install. So i asked her to send me her lastest version of d/l. So many patches to install. The 75MB went on smooethly. Thought there was hope. Coz when i clicked the button, the runtime error didn't appear. However, upon hte patching or v0.26, there went my hopes. All dashed again. So means no more maple. Can't start. RUNTIME ERROR.
WHAT THE HELL IS RUNTIME ERROR ?!?!!?!?!?!? !@#$%^&*(*&^%$#

A free wed morning

Had a good night's rest....finally had a chance to sleep for 7hrs...LoL
Actually, i kinda woke up before my alarm rang... couldn't believe that i slept for so long !!! It's such a luxury !!!
Still have to do 306 seminar qns. Scared later muz sit with LKW, then later no ans...confirm die !!! but still procrastinating little bit...haha....juz feel so lazy !!!=p dun know if got time to go the Career fair or not ...sighhh
Played MS for a while....lunch was settled at Hall 13 canteen. Hardly go there eat .... the noodles still acceptable la...though not something fantastic. Am waiting to go home to home cooked food by mum or grandma !!!! *drool*

Hmm...not very convincing that she looks young. In fact, i think it's due to the era of the movie.. . somehow i just think Sammi looks kinda weird la...haha....

2/3 Relievedddddd

Another 1/3 of the relief was when BM211 presentation was over. Quite last minute preparation for the Q&A session. Think i slept for 3 hrs?? which makes it 5 1/2 hrs of sleep for 2 days. Michelle called me last night "out of concerned" of my part. When in fact the intention was to tell me i had to lengthen the whole presentation. Coz all their parts v short -.-'''
Very fast lor....Ziwei finished...Michelle at first pace was quite good...but got faster and faster. Ask her slow down also no use...then Aileen's turn....even worse...got michelle's influence...talk even faster. OMG...like only 15 mins or slightly more passed lor. And had to prolong hte whole thing ?? Not possible for me. I tried to add in a few more sentences for each point i had. Practice until dozed off last night. In then end i think within half hour, it was over.
Q&A marked on chairmanship. So...thanks to Ade who helped me think of ideas when she came over last night...thanks maidy !!! *hugz* But it was like me carrying out the so-called game instructions myself. A little bit messy coz nobody actually was like willing to listen to me. As Ade said...maybe they all think that i don't have any substance =(
Peter Issac's facial expression not as clear cut as other tutors. He kept looking at me during my part. So i gathered i had to have a bit more eye contact. Didn't refer too much to my notes. Luckily rehearsed in room last night for at least 4-5times...so still quite familiar with wad i was supposed to say.
After class, managed to get a goodie bag on way to canteen. Inside got Michelle's favourite "mamee". I quite like also la... ate jap food. but i couldn't finish...so darn full...still needed lime juice to aid digestion.
So so so tired lor....go lecture...after 15mins i already visiting my grandpa (周公）. Michelle say so loud...if wan sleep then go back hall la. Then i kinda was awake....but didn't listen to Shoba Das. Came back hall, put down stuff, got changed, immediately concussed until dinner time. Damn tired !!!
Today i shall do nothing except play and rest and sleep. Oh...and the darn internet connection was faulty !! when i wan to play and surf net ...everything cannot use !!! WTHHHH !!!!!
