Reflection of Joey's Live
Thanks to yung...i finally got my dvd on 26 January 2005. hehe...
without any hesitation, i juz sat in front of my tv and watched the whole concert.
Before i give my review...overall, i feel her dance has improved A LOT compared to the last concert. Voice...she definitely has it. Image-wise... a lil sammi resemblance. But this concert gave me a very real joey feeling...Also felt there should be more dialogue rather than juz singing and dancing... Although it's a lil pricey...but i think it's worth it =)
7 Chapters to this DVD....
Chapter 1: Her starting song i thought it wasn't that impactful... Perhaps a stronger or a more familar song would be better....unless u're one who listen to every song of hers. Dance was good.. could see her efforts.... kinda like her outfit too ^.^
Chapter 2: Wah... this really super sammi feel. The hair the clothes everything.... Only after watching the bonus dvd that i understood the reason behind this part. Made her like a bride to stage... Actually also has a bit of Anita feel....hmmm...
Chapter 3: Some of joey's more popular songs.... This part she wore that diamond neckless !! looks super duper heavy to me.... But PRETTY !! All the lovey dovey songs... hehe the "game" played was haha... weird. Imagine when hte camera focuses on u, u're supposed to kiss the person next to u. hahaha... young couples, old couples, kids, guys and guys, girls and girls...lol...hiliarious !!!
Chapter 4: WOW....her t-back outfit here... i like this one actually. Makes her look very "yau yeng" and sexy. Shows more of her dance improvement here. And the dangerous part of breaking the 3 panels of glass !!! BRAVE !!!! But i thought the water part was juz a repeat of hte previous concert....nothing new.
Chapter 5: I dun like her clothes here.... -.-''' Makes her legs look soooo fat !!! OMG....*faintz* She sang a very long medley here. But felt she didn't do that well... sometimes a bit off-key. But my dad was all praise coz was dancing about and walking everywhere and singing. Plus the songs she sang weren't hers and she had to remember SOOO MANY small lil parts of each song.
Chapter 6: All Joey's k-songs here. Very good for engaging the audience to sing-along. Well, i was singing along as well. hehhee.....Beautiful dress here.... Very elegant.
Chapter 7: Last part... thought she should have sang the whole of Loving You english version. She sure could manage it well. Wad a pity.... So glad she ended the concert with 1 of my fav song... 越唱越强. She's sooo full of energy in this concert !!!! I'm beginning to love her more and more... Proves that u dun have to be very pretty to be good and survive in the music industry. Need more 实力 singers like her and mimi cheng and ah c =)
Bonus DVD: Includes some of her guests performances. Haha...ah lam looks like her grandfather lolx.... Jeff and her make a good pair too... i'm intending to buy that vcd/dvd too. Twins...yikes...i really dun see how they can be so popular. So stiff and their singing hasn't improved much over the years :s Ming gor...didn't know he had same bday as joey and same age as her dad !!! Lolx is he that old ?? :p Dave's part was really touching .....really thankful he brought her up to stage and had confidence in her !!! I wished they had all ther guests like ah c, alan etc... :(
The making of the concert was also touching. Looking at the hard work and effort needed for a successful concert. the support she has from her surrounding ppl .... Mani, Sandy, Mama yung and some of hte band members.
Gosh....the number of songs sang during finale encore. OMG.... do all artiste do that in HK for hte last night ?? i really wanna go watch her concert in HK at least once !!!
I'm gonna watch this a few more times during CNY !! hehehe...vii, if u're reading this, buy it !!!! hahhahahhaaha
