Sammi's new image....transferred from xanga

Adapted from http://www.sammicheng.popz.tv/ by RiPleY:
"Before the actual shooting of "Song of Everlasting Sorrow", director Stanley Kwan and Sammi gave the media a preview of Sammi's younger character of Wang Qi Yao, a woman in the 1930s. At the press conference, a soft spoken Sammi told the media that she has put in a lot of effort to prepare herself for the role. She spent 3 months learning to speak Chinese and read the book 3 times. She knows every detail of the character by heart. After meeting director Stanley Kwan and Cheung Suk Ping, Sammi felt how professional they are with their work and she was influenced to do the same. She did not slack in any part and has confidence in doing her best in the movie.
The drama version of "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" started shooting a few months ago and will end soon. Sammi said that she did not watch any parts of the drama because she wants to portray the character her way without getting influenced.
This is the first time Sammi is wearing a cheongsam. She said she is very happy with it and the cheongsam made her feel like a real woman. Once she put on the cheongsam, she feels like she is back in the 1930s. Sammi will portray the character of Wang Qi Yao as : "Someone who may seem innocent on the outside, but wild in the inside; she may seem at peace on the outside, but complicated on the inside". "

This is SAmmi's new image for her new movie....she's got the mushroom hairstyle !!! haha....looks cute but for short hair, i still prefer her style during 1996-1997. Those stylish short hair....not this china mushroom head... Hope Sammi's hair will grow back soon..that's if she really cut her long hair into this !!! Seems like A LOT of hardwork has been put into this making of the movie. Sammi read the book 3 times, tried to better her mandarin for 3 months..and according to the report...she was soft-spoken during the press conference...hehe...has she already immersed into the character ??
This one seems like a very arty and serious movie....so much china history that i'm afraid i wun be able to understand it !!! Hehe...i wan to get the book too !! maybe can understand wad's going on after that ....maybe i'll try kino one of these days...but i'm NOT going down to Orchard again so soon !!! Hehe...after reading, shall pass it to Ming...so she can read also and enjoy the movie with me next year !!! LoL *evil grinz*
